LOOKING AHEAD

USA - BLUEPRINT FOR THE FUTURE
Idaho Cobalt ProjectBlueprint for the future
This could be the blueprint for the future. The concerns of the environmental groups on eco restoration and Company's on engaging long legal tangles and operational interruptions were discussed objectively by sitting together. The agreement showed both as willing partners with a common concern. While the Company came forward for legal and financial binding for water monitoring and treatment not only during the life-cycle of the mine but perpetually thereafter with an annual binding financial commitment, the environmental group on their part assured help in avoiding costly legal battles and willingness to work together for the benefits of a common cause.

IS IT THE TURN OF SEA-WATER MINING NOW?
Sea water mining?
The notion of a workable and economical deposit has already changed and with the depletion of concentrated deposits, threshold deposits and even marginal deposits are vanishing. Turning to sea from land is already in place with sea-bed mining focusing on ocean floors. While the impact of sea-bed mining is yet to come to full grasp, the mineral contents of sea water indicate dissolved salts in a range of 33 to 37 grams per liter making the ocean a possible resource to almost fifty quadrillion tons of dissolved material as discussed in the sourced article once the extraction methodology is tackled.

NIGERBoost to power sector through mining
Niger is one of the major potential supplier of uranium and China is already in the Country mining uranium. The Country's power supply from Nigeria has been erratic and recently Niger and China have come together to boost the power sector of Niger. Niamey region is likely to benefit from the transfer of the proposed power units almost by 30%.

KAZAKHSTAN-LOOKING AHEAD
In the absence of a viable alternative yet for fossil fuels, nuclear energy has emerged as the immediate alternative indicated by the number of reactors under construction and being planned world wide. The World Nuclear Association expects uranium mining to increase almost by 300% in the next two decades and already resources are being searched for by existing suppliers apart from the current and future planned expansions.
Kazakhstan holds the largest uranium deposit outside Australia which has almost one-third of world's uranium but of lower quality. Kazakhstan is already moving to assert its position and the workings at Tortkuduk and the existing liquefaction process is expected to take the stages further.
